When troubles, trials and challenges come you way, lift up your eyes. The Psalmist said, “I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth” ( Psalm 121:1-2).
This world is filled with problems and challenges, people are experiencing a lot of pain and suffering; just listen to the news or read the newspaper or check the internet and you will know what I am talking about. We continue to hear or read about sudden catastrophic events, severe weather conditions, violence/crime, massive mudslides and sinkholes which open up suddenly all resulting in untold pain and problems. The case of the missing Malaysia Airline jet, Flight MH370 since March 8, 2014 is gut wrenching. The Erie Times News published an article about it on March 14, 2014 captioned: “Mystery continues.” Our thoughts and prayers certainly go out to everyone affected by these very challenging events and circumstances.
Some people are struggling daily, battle weary, trying to overcome or almost ready to give up. They are not alone, because at one time or the other we will all experience tough times, but all hope is not lost, just lift up your eyes and heart to Almighty God, from whence cometh your help. He cares for you and He is able to see you through victoriously. Only Almighty God can give us beauty for ashes, turn our sorrows into joy, out trials into triumph; only the grace of Almighty God can turn our brokenness into blessings, our pain into gain and give us double for out troubles. Praise the Lord! He did it for me and I believe He can do it for you too and much more. The arm of flesh will fail you, but “they that trust in the Lord are like mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever”(Psalm 125:1). Hallelujah! Trust God and move on, never give up for better days lie ahead.
Jesus Christ is the anchor for our souls, in times like these when the storms of life are raging. Jesus said; “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). He will surely give you perfect peace when your heart is steadfast on Him. Will you come now and find peace for your soul by trusting in the Prince of Peace? He is the King of Glory, our Father, Savior, Redeemer and Friend who lives and reigns forever and ever- He is Almighty God.
